Quency: Escape Queen Analysis and Theorycraft – Should you Pull? | Nikke: Goddess of Victory (1)

Overview

  • Great Offensive DPS that has great core damage scaling (Major Damage Multiplier) but her DPS plummets when there is no core to hit.
  • Quency has massive Hit rate buffs to help her consistently core hit. Has pin point accuracy with the aid of hit-rate overload rolls (4x)
  • Out DPS’s Scarlet by a good margin when factoring Core hits. However, Quency benefits less from meta supporters with ATK DMG up (Tia, Crown) due to having built in ATK DMG up from her kit. Damage taken debuffers are preferred (Blanc, Novel)
  • Also Out-DPS’s Ludmilla: Winter owner, who is comparable to Modernia with the right overloaded gear lines. This makes her Potentially the Second/Third Strongest Single Target Nikke (Single Target Referring to no parts), 1st being Scarlet Black Shadow, Second/Third Being Macro Alice
  • Unusually fast reload speed with decent base ammo capacity, Max ammo rolls for overloaded gear can be slotted in for more offensive stats.
  • Her Back Arch is INSANE

Normal ATK information

Quency is a dual SMG, which means that her basic ATK’s hit twice in one shot. Effectively doubling her normal ATK modifiers

Quency: Escape Queen Analysis and Theorycraft – Should you Pull? | Nikke: Goddess of Victory (2)

This means her base ATK values is 10.12% per shot (5.06% x2). This makes her ATK values a bit above average when considering their fire rate (20/s) when compared to other weapon types.

Newbie/Incomplete Box Section

Quency is a great DPS for starting Commanders for both campaign and boss battles, Quency’s potential is truly unlocked when her skill 2 is fully upgraded (Hit Rate + Massive ATK bonuses) and has 3x-4x hit rate rolls for pin-point accuracy.

This synergizes well with her weapon type as SMGs have higher than normal core damage multipliers (250% vs 200%). Combine that with all her self-buffs and higher than average normal attack multipliers and you have a damage machine.

However Quency’s damage does plummet when there is no core. Luckily most bosses do have exposed cores that Quency can easily hit. Quency’s damage should be slightly below/Equal to Scarlet’s damage if there are no cores to hit outside of their Best in slot support teams, with Scarlet having the advantage due to being easier to buff if put in meta support teams (Crown/Tia Teams).

Otherwise, if there are cores to hit Quency should out-DPS Scarlet by a large margin (1.5x+ more DPS). Assuming all skills are raised, as Quency is skill book heavy

(Poor Scarlet always being the DPS benchmark to check if a Nikke is a good DPS unit)

Skills

Quency: Escape Queen Analysis and Theorycraft – Should you Pull? | Nikke: Goddess of Victory (3)

Skill 1: Secure Route

Activates only when Explore Route Stage I is fully stacked. Affects self.
Distributed Damage ▲ 49.58% continuously.
Activates only when Explore Route Stage 2 is fully stacked. Affects self.
Damage dealt when attacking core ▲ 25.25% continuously.
Activates only when Explore Route Stage 3 is fully stacked. Affects self.
Critical Rate ▲ 16.73% continuously.

Self-explanatory skill. the only interaction to note is that Distributed Damage and ATK Damage ▲ (From Burst) are different damage brackets and are multiplicative of each other. Which means that her burst is capable of dealing a lot of damage on single-target raptures

Skill 2: Explore Route

Activates after landing 2 normal attack(s). Affects self.
Effects in each phase vary. Previous effects trigger repeatedly
Stage 1: Affects self.
Hit Rate ▲ 1.36% stacks up to 10 time(s) and lasts for 2 sec.
ATK ▲ 245%, stacks up to 10 time(s) and lasts for 2 sec.
Stage 2:Activates when Explore Route Stage I is fully stacked. Affects self.
Hit Rate ▲ 2.71%. stacks up to 10 time(s) and lasts for 1 sec.
ATK ▲ 4.9% stacks up to I0 time(s)and lasts for 1 sec
Stage 3: Activates when Explore Route Stage 2 is fully stacked. Affects self.
Hit Rate ▲ 4.08% stacks up to 5 time(s) and lasts for 0.5 sec.
ATK ▲ 7.36%, stacks up to 5 time(s)and lasts for 0.5 sec

An very potent skill with massive offensive buffs. All the attack buffs will net a total of 110% with pretty much full uptime. Her stage 3 buffs will disappear every reload but are gained in less than a second.

Quency’s massive hit rate buffs will allow her to consistently core hit raptures in any range with the help of 4x Hit rate rolls from overloaded gear or the aid of Hit rate buffers in the team. without the overloaded gear/outside hit rate buffs, Quency will have trouble hitting cores in mid-long range

Manual Play Importance (Bonus Hit Rate)

Manually playing a character gives bonus hit rate (for reasons) and will help Quency core hit if her accuracy is below 100%, reducing the requirement from 4x hit rate needed to 3x hit rate.

Note: Manual playing refers to being on the character AND manually aiming with your mouse (Hit rate bonus is still applied if aim assist is enabled in the settings). Non-manual gameplay is either being outside of said character or having auto-aim on.

Quency’s Buffs fully stack after firing for 2.5s, which isn’t long but expect her stacks to drop often when using her in Campaign due to the short durations of her buff and constant re-targeting. Using Quency to deal with Elite Raptures/Bosses shouldn’t be an issue though.

Burst: The Great Thief

Affects self.
Attack Damage ▲ 57.08% for 10 sec.
Reloading Speed ▲ 25.87% for 10 sec.
Affects all enemies.
Deals 1736.31% of final ATK as Distributed Damage.

Quency’s burst can hit very hard, even harder than Dorothy’s burst (8.8k%) under the right teams. This is due to her being in the burst III slot (Previous Burst slots can buff her) and that her own buffs are multiplicative (ATK Damage up ▲ x Distribute Damage ).

Her Burst can also Crit and benefit from Elemental damage+ while Dorothy’s burst can’t. Quency’s burst hits twice, which doesn’t increase her burst damage overall, but can increase Crit Consistency

Distributed Damage Explained

Distributed Damage is damage that is split between raptures in the screen. A skill with distributed damage will do less damage to raptures the more there are in the screen

Example, if there are 10 raptures on screen and the skill does 1000% of ATK, each rapture will receive 100% of ATK damage from the skill (1000% / 10). This isn’t an issue in boss battles as usually there is only 1 target to hit, but it quickly shows its weakness in Campaign.

Extra Notes

Quency Vs Ludmilla: Winter Owner and Hit Rate Factors

Hit Rate is EXTREMELY Important when it comes to Quency’s DPS.

It can make the difference between dealing more damage when compared to Ludmilla Winter Owner and outright losing. For Commanders who don’t have her, Ludmilla Winter does Similar Damage to Modernia, both of which out DPS Scarlet by a fair margin.

This is especially important when using with Naga Teams and distance from boss (Close, Mid, Far)

Case 1 (Firing Range Boss, Elem+)

Quency: Escape Queen Analysis and Theorycraft – Should you Pull? | Nikke: Goddess of Victory (11)

OL Stats:
Ludmilla: 60% ElementalDamage, no ATK
Quency: 85.83% ED, 15.17% ATK, no Hit rate

Case 2 (Firing Range Boss, Elem+)

Quency: Escape Queen Analysis and Theorycraft – Should you Pull? | Nikke: Goddess of Victory (12)

OL Stats:

Quency: 22% Hit rate, 7% ATK, 1x Max AMMO, 1x Crit Rate, 1x Crit Damage, 22% Elem + cube | 128k ATK

Ludmilla: 60% Elem + Cube , 2x high roll max ammo, 1x Crit rate | 140k ATK : Xlud

Case 3 (Firing Range Boss, Elem+)

Quency: Escape Queen Analysis and Theorycraft – Should you Pull? | Nikke: Goddess of Victory (13)

OL Stats:

Ludmilla: Elem Damage 59%, ATK 33%
Quency: Elem Damage 87%, ATK 9%, 1x Hit Rate

(More Images Cases vs Harvester to be inputted here soon, Harvester has Close/mid Range Core which should help the DPS loss of not having high hit rate rolls on Overload Gear)

Campaign

Quency is expected to perform in Campaign pretty well and can benefit from Naga’s buff because of her ability to hit cores with ease with the right gear rolls (3-4x Hit rate).

Quency could’ve been a top pick in element-neutral content if she had AoE capabilities/Pierce. But she can still do well as a boss killer/Elite Rapture killer, just pair her with a burst generator when needed (Centi, Red Hood, Alice, Anis, Emilia, Etc). Quency is also a very nice addition to Missilis Tribe Tower.

Quency Best in Slot Team

Liter,Crown,Quency: Escape Queen,Red Hood,Naga

Summary, 6.5/10 Campaign Clearing

Expected best in slot team assuming Quency has 4x hit rate so she can core hit at any range. Otherwise replace Naga for another Burst III DPS or burst generator if needed

When using Quency’s burst for Elites/Bosses, make sure to clear the screen of fodder raptures so her burst damage doesn’t get diluted too much.

Use Red hoods Burst I when entering Boss fights that are water weak, otherwise the player can opt for Red Hood/Quency burst in element-neutral stages

  • Centi – Burst generator (If needed)
  • Anis – Burst generator (If needed)

Note: Burst generators are important but not mandatory in every battle, slot in any of your preferred DPS if the Commander does not have Alice or Red hood

Skill Investments / Heavy Investment / Doll Priority

Assume All skills of team members are at least 5/5/5.

  • Mid Game: Red Hood 7/7/7 -> Quency: Escape Queen 7/7/7-> Crown 7/7/7 -> Naga 7/5/5 -> Liter 7/5/7
  • Late Game: Red Hood 10/10/10 -> Quency: Escape Queen 10/10/10-> Crown 10/10/10 -> Naga 10/7/5 -> Liter 10/5/10

Doll Priority

Red Hood -> Quency: Escape Queen -> Crown (Not Recommended) -> Naga (Not Recommended) -> Liter (Not Recommended)

Arena

Quency can wipe out teams with her burst despite Quency’s burst being distributed, but suffers from very low burst generation and being Water element, which Scarlet and Anis: Sparkling Summer are strong against.

Quency also needs a bit more investment/CP compared to Scarlet to one shot teams. She’s more than usable in PvP, but not expected to be top pick.

Special Interception | Solo Raid | Union Raid

Special Interception

Quency can be used against any special interception boss. However she shines and is best in slot against Chatterbox and Blacksmith (Water weak) outside of pierce Nikkes. She works great with people who have incomplete Nikke boxes/Missing top-tier Supports as all the buffs she needs are already contained in her kit.

Anomaly (Harvester)

Quency is BiS when going against Anomaly Harvester if the Commander can break through its head, which will reveal its core after. Quency is able to Out-DPS Ludmilla: Winter by a decent margin, assuming all core hits and equal investment.

Head Break Team

Liter,Crown,Quency: Escape Queen,Ludmilla: Winter owner,Naga

If the Commander can’t break core head early via lack of DPS. Pierce Options can be considered instead, pierce Nikkes can hit twice, which also damages its head.

Pierce Nikkes

Asuka,Alice,Red Hood,Maxwell,Snow White

Solo Raid | Union Raid

Without much competition, Quency: Escape Queen is the BiS Water DPS when it comes to water-weak solo raids, and is a competitor to hog Tia/Naga teams from Red hood IF THERE ARE NO PARTS PRESENT, Core can be hit with almost full uptime

Water Weak Solo Raid

Liter,Crown,Quency: Escape Queen,Ludmilla: Winter Owner,attacker

Usually Crown teams are reserved for Alice/SBS teams, but if the player has enough elemental damage rolls on their gear against water weak bosses, it is expected that Quency and Ludmilla: Winter Owner will be able to dish out more damage than Alice/SBS team, Netting more Damage overall.

Alice/SBS can be slotted into Blanc/Rogue Team or Tia/Naga Teams. Liter can be replaced by any CDR if needed if there are survivability issues for other teams (Cover Repair)

If the Commander Lacks Ludmilla: Winter Owner and has Alice/SBS fully raised, Quency can be slotted into a Tia/Naga Team or Blanc Team instead.

Element Neutral + No Parts w/ Core

Tia,Liter,Naga,Quency: Escape Queen,Ludmilla: Winter Owner

Tia/Naga is usually slotted for Red hood teams, but since Quency can deal more single-target damage than Red hood (AGAIN, NO PARTS, AND WITH CORE PRESENT), Quency can be slotted here instead as she greatly benefits from core hitting. Liter can be substituted with any CDR if other teams have survivability issues (Cover Repair).

Elemental Neutral Blanc Team

Blanc,Quency: Escape Queen,Rouge,Attacker,Attacker

Bunny team is most likely going to be reserved by the Collab Duo (Rogue,Blanc,Asuka,Rei Ayanami,Modernia). Despite Quency being able to deal the most single-target damage out of all the DPS’s Listed, the whole team synergizes very well with each other and should out-DPS any slot Quency replaces.

But if the Commander lacks these Nikkes, 2 being Collabs, and 1 a Pilgrim. Quency can comfortably be in Blanc teams instead. Simply pair her with your next best available DPS’s.

Should You Pull?

We haven’t exactly had any non-limited, non-pilgrim, or seasonal event Nikke as strong as Quency: Escape Queen (Except Alice). As much as I would love to say save for Anniversary, I’d go over a checklist to see if you should pull for her

  1. Focused on Solo Raid Rankings? (Especially this Season)
  2. Very Incomplete Nikke boxes for boss battles (No Top tier DPS’s in their Nikke Roster, or at most 1) Top Tier being SS+
  3. (if one and two applies) Have enough resources to Overload gear and raise her skills to 10/10/10?
  4. Weak to insane Back Archs?
Quency: Escape Queen Analysis and Theorycraft – Should you Pull? | Nikke: Goddess of Victory (14)

If you check most of these boxes, I’d consider pulling a copy of her, and get dupes from wishlist system. Otherwise, if you’re patient and non of these matter to you, the Commander can wait to see what’s in store for Anniversary.

If the reader is questioning why Quency simply isn’t SSS tier in bossing (as of my thoughts for now), she certainly has the potential to be but can be too conditional as in the past few solo raids there wasn’t full uptime on cores and DPS does suffer if there isn’t one. Meanwhile, SSS bossing Nikkes as of now don’t get punished as heavily if they’re not in their ideal fight and/or their ceiling of DPS potential is higher if these ideal fights do happen.

S2 > S1Her skill 1 isn’t too important for her overall DPS.

However, her skill 2 Provides much more value and is recommended to raise ASAP as it provides a lot of ATK up and Hit rate.

Her burst is also important as it provides her with ATK Damage up and a hard-hitting burst.
